Hernyák Birtok Zöldveltelini 2021

Borászatunk egyik sikerterméke. Magyarországon sajnos kevesen készítenek bort ebből a fajtából, pedig egy kárpát medencei fajta (Pannon régió). Ausztriában az egyik legismertebb fehérbor a rajnai rizling mellett. Szereti a meleg őszi napokat. Így igazán nagy borokat akkor lehet belőle készíteni, ha sokat süt a nap a szüreti időszakban. 2021 ilyen volt. Forró augusztust meleg szeptember követett, és október első hetében szüreteltük le a Zöldveltelini ültetvényt a ház mellett. Egy napos ülepítés után másod és harmad éves hordókba került és 4-5 hónapot töltött hordóban a palackozásig.

A fahordó ezért csak leheletnyire található meg aromakarakterében. Inkább a fehérborsos, krémes jegyek, zöldpaprika található illatában. Hosszú lecsengésű íze mellett kerekké és erőteljessé teszi magas alkohola, mely egy kicsit édeskéssé teheti az egyébként száraz bort.

One of the success stories of our winery. Few people make wine from this grape in Hungary unfortunately, although it originates from the Carpathian Basin (Pannonian region). It is one of the best-known white wines in Austria, besides Rhine Riesling. It likes warm autumn days. So you can make really great wines from it if there is a lot of sunshine during the harvest season. 2021 was such a year. A hot August was followed by a warm September, and in the first week of October we harvested the Zöldveltelini vineyard next to the house. After settling for one day, it was put into second- and third-year barrels and spent 4-5 months there until bottling.

This is why there is only a touch of the wooden barrel in its aromatic character. White pepper, creamy notes and green pepper dominate the nose. In addition to its long finish, the high alcohol content gives it a round and powerful character, which can make an otherwise dry wine a little sweet.
